Edward J. Bentley
Edward J. Bentley is a British actor, filmmaker, and creative mentor whose career bridges theatre, film, and independent cinema. Immersed in the arts from an early age, he grew up behind the scenes at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, shaping his lifelong dedication to performance. He made his West End theatre debut in the award-winning The Bomb-itty of Errors (2003), a hip-hop reimagining of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors.
More recently, Edward has appeared in stage productions including George Orwell's 1984, Dealing with Clair & A Midsummer Nights Dream.
Film and television appearances include Band of Brothers, Vampire Academy, Borrego, Paradise Hills, and the forthcoming western Trinidad. He also portrayed Ernest Hemingway in the acclaimed TV3 biographical film Miró.
Edward is the co-founder of Bigoli Studios in Barcelona and Bigoli Pictures, where he co-wrote, produced, and starred in the feature film Bigoli Bang—a community-driven sci-fi drama shot in Northern Italy. The film blends professional and first-time actors and has been praised for its originality, atmosphere, and bold approach to independent storytelling. Through Bigoli Studios, he coaches actors and supports emerging filmmakers, fostering a collaborative and international artistic community.
